Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium(EMC) was awarded the Dr. Alan Middleton Workplace Literacy and Learning Award for outstanding achievement in promoting and supporting workplace literacy and essential skills training in the Canadian workplace.

The Dr. Alan Middleton Workplace Literacy and Learning Award recognizes an individual or organization for their outstanding achievement in increasing workplace literacy and essential skills in their community.

The award was established in 2010 to recognize the outstanding contribution of ABC Life Literacy Canada former board member and chair, Dr. Alan Middleton.
